DIRECTIONS - About 4 miles south of the Clovelly Roundabout on the Atlantic Highway turn off, and follow the signs for Hartland Village and Hartland Abbey.
The Abbey was founded in about 1157 and has been a family home since the 16C. Delightful house with interesting architecture. There are extensive informal gardens with woodland and coastal walks.
