On Wednesday of each week, there is the popular Pannier Market, when locals come to town to exchange news and views, mingling with visitors in the busy Market Square, this is the real hub of rural life in this little market town.

Just off the Market Square, situated in the Manor Car Park, is Holsworthy Museum. This is a real little gem of a museum, featuring displays about an era of bygone rural life. The museum is run with great enthusiasm by a band of most welcoming and dedicated volunteers.The historic Holsworthy market and fair charters believed to date from the 12th Century, are celebrated during the 'St Peter's Fair' week held in early July. Be sure to catch the crowning of the 'Pretty Maid'.
