Turn off the Atlantic Highway towards the coast, just to the south of Bude, and you will arrive at Widemouth Bay (large car parks). A good surf spot and popular with families, who can enjoy the large expanse of sandy coastline. Children enjoy the many rock pools to be found in the area. There are spectacular views from the coastal path, which provides a bracing, three and half mile walk to Bude, or, going south, to Millook and Crackington Haven. If you're visiting in the winter months, go to Widemouth Bay on a blustery or stormy day to experience the spectacle and might of Atlantic waves thundering towards the shore. Spectacular!
